ECML PKDD is the premier European machine learning and data mining conference, attracting a worldwide audience. The conference program includes presentations of peer-reviewed research papers, invited talks by eminent researchers in the field, a wide program of workshops and tutorials, a discovery challenge, a demo track and an industrial track. ECML PKDD 2016 builds upon a very successful series of 26 ECML and 19 PKDD conferences, which have been jointly organized for the past 15 years. The conference attracts an audience of over 500 attendees and it is a unique opportunity for companies to develop connections in both machine learning and data mining communities, acquire new talents, contribute to innovation and market their brands. The conference is known for its relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of networking opportunities and social activities.
The ECML PKDD conference provides a forum where sponsors will enjoy a great amount of visibility within the machine learning and data mining communities. The conference web site, continuously updated at www.ecmlpkdd2016.org, is the reference point of this broad community: based on previous experience we expect several tens of thousands of visits until the end of September 2016. Other promotion initiatives will be carried out, nationwide and internationally, through web portals, mailing lists, posters and posting on social media. The conference lasts for five days, with workshops and tutorial on Monday and Friday and the main conference sessions on Tuesday to Thursday. Friday will also feature an Industrial Track, with invited speakers, peer- reviewed papers and company presentations.
In 2016, the conference will be held in Riva del Garda a picturesque town on the north shore of Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy. The town has a beautiful city center and saw famous guests such as Goethe, Freud, Nietzsche, the Mann brothers and Kafka. The lake is one of the most enchanting in Europe and is surrounded by mountains culminating in the famous Brenta Dolomites.
